Doe Highlight!

Springwater AL Ridin Sidesaddl

Barn name of Sadie. Sadie is a simple non descript black doe who we got with the absorption of the Round Mountain Herd. Prior to coming to us she was taken to exactly one show as a Jr where she took first in her class. She kidded out easily as a FF two year old with three kids. Throughout the summer she just kind of blended in. She had a decent first freshening udder with amazing pliable dairy skin and great big teats and orifices but we allowed her to dam raise so we never really got good fills on her and we didn’t really pay her much attention. We did milk her for a while after we weaned her kids and she took to it amazingly. It didn’t take her long to start waiting for us at the gate to be milked. After she dried off we just turned her out with the the herd to eat and grow up some more. The other day while out doing chores I noticed her! All of a sudden she has pulled her gangally self together and OMG! Sadie has grown up!!!! We are super excited for her second freshening and to shave all of the winter wollies off to see what’s under there! With her breeding she should have the ability to milk with the best of them so fingers crossed that she will do exactly that. We will be pulling her kids this year and Sadie will be put into the milking and show string so keep your eyes out for her! She is bred to Coyote Kidz Howl Pendragon and due late April. Kid reservations are open on her! If she does as well as we think she will this year it may be the last year to get ahold of one of her kids at a lower price.
