Our Family

Ben & Jen primarily are the ones who focus on the workings of the farm. Their children, Autumn & David are young adults now. David lives out of state & Autumn works many overtime hours at her job off site. They each have their own responsibilities that don't allot much time for the farm anymore.

Ben

Ben was born in the Bitterroot Valley & raised between Montana & other parts of the country. He is the Veteran status behind the 'Veteran Owned' & through his military service has had an oppotunity to see much of the US & many parts of the world.

Ben lived in Germany for 3yrs while serving & did 3 tours in Iraq & 1 in Afghanistan. He served for just shy of a total of 17yrs in the Army before an honorable, medical discharge.

No matter where he traveled, no place has ever compared to the Bitterroot Valley, where his roots have run deep for generations & where we call home. Today he tries to pour the same commitment he had in the military, a deep respect for hard work, resilience & faith into Heritage Farm Montana, our family owned & operated farm.

Jen

The behind the scenes goat keeper, Jen usually does the day to day duties with the goats. You can usually find one tucked away in her jacket, pickup or on the couch with her, especially during kidding season.

Jen grew up in farm life, with cattle, pigs, horses, chickens & rabbits. She raised Quarter Horses & Paints as her hobby & passion for over 25yrs. Goats were not something she ever saw herself having until 2021, when Ben finally talked her into getting their first goat. The rest as they say is history.

Ben & Jen are celebrating 10yrs together in 2026 & looking forward to what the future holds.

Autumn

Our herd name is Skye's after our daughter, Autumn's, middle name. A herd name is a permanent fixture with in the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). It is an important part of breeding goats as it is how people will recognize a goat came from your herd.

Autumn helps bottle feed babies as time permits in her busy schedule. She is an avid animal lover, & that love is definitely reciprocated by all the animals here on the farm. She is working towards a career in the medical industry. We are very proud!

David

Our son & lover of the goats, horses & dogs. It's often hard to get current photos of your children when they live out of state. This is a favorite of Ben & David praying. When he visits, he tends to spend a lot of time with the animals.

David has aspirations to join the military & follow in his Dad's, Uncle's, Grandpa's & Great Grandpa's footsteps. We couldn't be more proud!
